Fujian Yongding afforestation project

    Yongding District is located in the southwest of Fujian Province, between 24°23 'N-25°05' N and 116° 25 'E-117' 05 'E.It is connected with Nanjing County in the east, Pinghe County in the southeast, Loam County and Mei County in the southwest, Shanghang County in the northwest, and Xinluo District in the northeast. The longest distance between east and west is 68 square kilometers, the longest distance between north and south is 80 square kilometers, and the total area is 2223 square kilometers.
    Guangzhou Guotan Asset Management Co., Ltd. organized and implemented carbon sink afforestation from 2005 to 2013, with a total afforestation scale of 52,927 mu (3,528.5 hectares), including 20,847 mu in 2005, 8,408 mu in 2006, 4,623 mu in 2008, and 19,049 mu in 2013.Afforestation tree species are mainly masson pine, Chinese fir, wet pine, Tallow and rhizoma coptidis. The project aims to bring into full play the benefits of afforestation to increase foreign exchange, as well as the multiple benefits such as forest protection of biological diversity, improvement of local ecological environment and natural landscape, and increase of people's income. The afforestation activities of the proposed project will start from March 8, 2005 and take into account the period from March 8, 2005 to March 7, 2025 (including the first and last two days).In the first 20-year accounting period, the proposed project is expected to generate 703,765 TCO2-E greenhouse gas emission reductions, with an average annual emission reduction of approximately 35,188 TCO2-E.
