    Lianhua county is located in the west of Jiangxi Province, Luoxiao Mountains in the middle, Jinggangshan north foot, northeast bordering Anfu County, southeast bordering Yongxin County, southwest and Hunan Chaling County, Youxian County connected, north bordering With Luxi County. It is 58 kilometers long from north to south and 38 kilometers wide from east to west. It is located at east diameter 113°46 '-114 °09' and north latitude 26°57 '-27 °27'. It covers an area of 1,072 square kilometers, 223,000 mu of cultivated land, 1.12 million mu of mountainous area and 785,000 mu of forest, with a forest coverage rate of 68%.The county has jurisdiction over 8 townships, 5 towns, 1 reclamation breeding ground, 4 neighborhood committees and 157 administrative villages, with a total population of 260,000.The ethnic composition is mainly han nationality, and there are 7 ethnic minorities such as Miao, Zhuang, Hui, Man, Dong, Li and Qiang.County people's government resident in Qin Ting town. The forest farm is 14.5 kilometers wide from east to west and 50.6 kilometers long from north to south.
    For the positive response of forestry in China to address climate change, Guotan guide Lianhua county, the project owners of Jiangxi province Gaotianyan Ecological Forest Farm in 2005 and 2015 respectively to organize the implementation of carbon sink afforestation, planting scale a total of 32220 acres (2148 hectares), in the afforestation of 9437 mu, 2005 plant 11282 mu in 2006, afforestation in 2008 of 5289 mu, 2013 plant 1019 acres, planting 1881 mu in 2014,In 2015, afforestation reached 3,312 mu. Afforested tree species are mainly maple, wet pine and Chinese fir. The proposed project is expected to generate a total of 650,579 TCO2-E greenhouse gas emissions reductions in the first 20-year accounting period, with an average annual emission reduction of approximately 32,529 TCO2-E.
